  Mr. Reid is a phenomenal man. I'm a funeral home owner here in Clarksdale, MS and I was referred to him by another colleague of mine in reference to a case I needed picked up, embalmed, and sent to Memphis airport. Not only was he remarkable but he eased my burden because he called the next of kin and got all the vital info needed for transit permit and death certificate which technically was my responsibility. The remains arrived in top notch condition, not to mention he allowed the next of kin to view in Milwaukee before ship-out. To all of the funeral directors that need someone in Milwaukee, WI to handle your case or any family that needs to select a funeral home in Milwaukee, WI, I recommend Reid's New Golden Gate Funeral Home.

  Staff person (younger gentleman) was very rude during visitation service and final viewing, almost caused me to fall over while I was trying to give my nephew a kiss by deliberately moving the casket as I was leaning towards him. Told my daughter she couldn't touch his hand because of the embalming fluids. My sister told him that it was ok for his family to be able to touch him and he still went against her words and stated.."I don't care". Even argued with family members during the final viewing when asked why was he acting like that.

  I would never recommend this funeral home to anyone who cared about their loved or who cares about professionalism and compassion. My family was with my father for hours after he passed away then purchased a new suit for his burial. When we arrived at the funeral home we were shocked and appalled by how he looked. His skin color and shape of his face were completely different. They put fillers in his mouth in place of his dentures which charged his mouth shape and altered his entire appearance. They never called to inquire about his dentures or to notify us on when they were going to embalm him so that we knew when to bring them. They also polished his fingernails!, What 80 year man do you know that wears nail polish?
  
  The new suit was stained while in their care. When we pointed this out we were told that it would be corrected. On the day of the funeral, the stain actually looked worse. When I showed this to owner Arthur Reid, he very rudely told me that "well things happen". I then told him to just get away from me. His response was not to apologize for his poor workmanship but to tell me that "he didn't have to go anywhere". When I told him that I was going to tell everyone in person and on line about his unprofessionalism, only then did he try to apologize.
  
  The staff at Reid's New Golden Gate are business people and death is their business. They don't seem to understand that the death of a loved one is not an everyday occurrence for every else. There was no warmth or compassion felt during this entire process. Please take your loved one somewhere else.

  Reid's New Golden Gate Funeral Home did a fantastic job with our mother. They did everything we asked for, and mom looked absolutely stunning down to the last detail. They were very professional, honest, and sensitive to our needs. I'd definitely use them again.
